Welcome!

Welcome!

This blog is primarily about martial arts. Specifically, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, submission wrestling, and MMA. Not only will I discuss techniques and training, but also my experiences over the past ten years, as a woman and dedicated student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In addition, I'll no doubt also go into some depth regarding the philosophy that I believe is lies at the heart of all martial training. I'll also occasionally go into BJJ technical theory, and try to explain not only how the moves themselves are done, but WHY it is that they actually work, and what student's need to focus on during training, in order to get them to work BETTER.

Over the years, I've published countless articles and thoughts, on miscellaneous websites and message boards, and I've finally decided to simply take what I've written over the years, and post it all up here, where everyone can easily access it. Who knows...maybe I'll even get sponsored! Now wouldn't THAT be cool?

I certainly think so.... ;-)

Please feel free to post comments, questions, or suggestions. I also have a few video clips up on YouTube which you're welcome to check out as well. I especially value input from my students, so if you train with me now over at the K-1 academy in SF, or have taken classes with me in the past, either at Open Door or elsewhere, please don't hesitate to pop in and say 'hi!'. :-)
